"Choices"
Awards
Each year, thousands of children,
young adults, teachers, and librarians around the United States
select their favorite recently published books to be included
in the Choices annotated booklists. Published annually by
the International Reading Association, Children’s Choices,
Teachers’ Choices, and Young Adults’ Choices booklists
are used in classrooms, libraries, and homes to help young
people find books they will enjoy reading.
Florida
Reading Association's Children's Book Award - 2005-2006
The Florida Reading Association’s
Children’s Book Award began in 1989. It is awarded annually
to the book chosen by PreK through second grade students in
the state of Florida. Eight books are read to the students
and then they vote for their favorite. Two honor books are
also announced.
