The STAR program is a computer-adaptive reading test and database that provides teachers with norm-referenced information on the student's instructional reading level and reading range. It is a perfect complement to Accelerated Reader and helps teachers accurately assess the reading levels of students at key times throughout the school year as they monitor students' reading growth. Utilized together, AR and STAR provide a comprehensive management and assessment system that will result in measurable student achievement in reading. STAR assists in identifying appropriate reading challenge levels for students. STAR has been aligned to the State of Florida Sunshine State Standards
