PLATO Learning can support teachers in defining a custom solution to meet individual student needs. Plato's online instruction expands students' access to standards-based curriculum. This organizational solution allows schools to develop, manage, and distribute curriculum, resources, and best practices for instruction. Lessons are correlated to match the Sunshine State Standards and each lesson provides a mastery test in order to determine if the student has achieved mastery.

PLATO Reading Skills Series Extensive and challenging comprehension practice is provided through stories, narrative text, information, and expository text. There are three lengths of passages covering a variety of topics, representing a range of genres, and offering meaningful practice. Students learn key reading comprehension and critical-thinking skills needed to work with the written resources. In many of the lesson modules a tutor demonstrates specific strategies over a range of passages and situations and helps students take responsibility for using strategies in real-world samples.
|
PLATO Math Skills Series Learners connect math concepts and problem-solving strategies to real-world situations from basic computation to solving multi-step problems. Learners become members of realistic interdisciplinary expeditions in which math concepts are connected to science, social studies, geography, and history in a real-life context. Learners select and apply tools such as tables, graph makers, and equation builders, with various levels of assistance to explore and solve the problems.
