F.I.N.D.S. is the State of Florida's research process model. F.I.N.D.S. guides students through the research process by utilizing the following steps: Focus, Investigate, Note, Develop, and Score. F.I.N.D.S. teaches students the necessary steps of conducting research, allowing students to develop the skills and understanding they need to find, process, and use information effectively.

These skills can be applied across the curriculum and across all grade levels. The F.I.N.D.S. research process model is best utilized in collaborative planning and teaching between the classroom teacher and the library media specialist and when integrated with classroom curriculum.
